Incubate is the annual celebration of independent culture in Tilburg, the Netherlands. It is a festival exhibiting a diverse view on indie culture as a whole, including music, contemporary dance, film and visual arts. Dan Deacon is a Baltimore, Maryland-based electronic music composer/performer. Influenced by artists like Devo, Talking Heads, Scratch Orchestra, Raymond Scott, and Conlon Nancarrow, Deacon played in many bands, including tuba for Langhorne Slim and guitar in the improvisational grind core band Rated R. Deacon is famed for his live shows. When playing solo he performs on floor level within the audience, his musical devices being set up on a low table, and surrounded by the crowd.
