Vanilla Riot is a contemporary intermedia group of improvisers (Holland, Norway, Slovenia) that have been active in numerous kinds of settings touring though Europe and the U.S.

"Vanilla Riot explodes and implodes, with a baffling new blend of distorted baritone guitar, clarinet, drums and live electronics."

The music moves from particle improv to electronic eruptions, and consist of organized pieces that derive from improvisations.

The trio is inspired by a wide variety of genres, stretching from contemporary music, jazz, electronica, alternative rock and experimental metal. I.e: John Cage, Meshuggah, Steve Reich, Autechre, Ligeti, Messiaen and Steve Coleman.
