In the 1760s, the young Mayer Amschel established his business in Frankfurt, dealing in
coins and bills. By 1769 he was Court Agent to William of Hanau and in 1784 he moved into the
Green Shield House with his wife, Gutle, and children. Here his five sons learned the skills that
would enable them to establish the Rothschild banking business across Europe.
But that's a whole other story...
We're only interested in the fact that it caused the formation of “The Rott Childs” late 2009.
The Rott Childs aspire to be to music what The Rothschilds are to money. That is, invisible but in
control, cloaked in secrecy and mistery but always one step ahead. Their music reflects our fast
paced and superficial life made up by bits and pieces of history... but history is covered with a layer
of lies and so is their music. It's far from obvious and filled with contradiction. In The Rott Childs'
music sabotage is a tool that's used to create a feeling of euphoria when redeemed. And this all
happens while you get so easily distracted by a happy chant or a hypnotic riddle...
Who are they? Where did they come from? And what are they up to? If you want to know
the true answer to these questions you'll have to watch their every move, go see them live or just
stick your hand in their pockets and see what you find... Could mean losing it, but something's got
to give when messing with THE ROTT CHILDS!
